    Trouble cold starting

I have had a search through the site and I have missed any posts on this exact problem so I am going to ask. I have a 1993 V8 disco (multi drive belt 3.9) that has become a real pain to start from cold over tbe last few months, after sitting for 10+hours it just winds over and over, will catch but not start after alot of effort it will start very roughly (Flooded ?) Then settle in a second or two and run fine. For the rest of the day it will start fine, with the first flick of the key. I have cleaned and checked all the connections on the coil, changed the stepper motor, fitted a new 600+ CCA battery, cleaned the fuel rail etc and still have the issue...........so I am open to ideas from the experts

check the fuel pump, fuel presure regulator and the ignition amp.

you can testif its being lazy building up fuel pressure by bypassing the fuel pump relay for aminute or so prior to trying to start it, if that works then its fuel system problems

you can field thest the ignition amp by heating it up with a hot air gun or hair drier prior to the first start or leving the ignition on for a couple of minutes prior to cranking it over (pull the fuel pump relay, leave the igntion on for a couple of minutes turn it off, replace the relay, turn the power on for 20 seconds and then key for a start)

and just because its a landrover thing... check all the earths

    Thanks Dave
Ran the heat gun on the ignition amp for a couple of min this morning and it fired up from cold straight away. So I guess it is time to give bee utey's ignition upgrade a go.....
