    Black wheels, yay or na?

    My wheels were looking very tired on the landy so decided to give them a freshen up, amazing how much of a difference it makes! what do you reckon better or worse than silver?

    I hate black wheels (especially alloys). I think they really make a car look cheap.

    pretty sad to hear that fella, i thought they looked ok, i'm not really a show pony type just happened to have some left over rattle cans and the wheels were looking very sorry for themselves, they're steel not alloy btw

    I reckon black wheels look tougher. I like it! Way better than ratty silver.

    Well, you did ask for opinions. Yes, I realise those rims are steel. Black alloys look far worse, e.g.,

    My motorbike has black rims - they look terrible (below). I'd like to have them redone in a better colour with maybe a polished edge.

    On light coloured cars black looks good, i had planned on silver rims but the black's come up at a price i couldnt knock back - i like them now.

    Mine are not quite black, more of a charcoal, but i do like dark rims.

    My Disco is an SE7 and it came with dark charcoal alloy rims from the factory, and I did my Defender in a similar color:



    Edit: Can't find a good picture of the SE7 rims, but this will give you an idea:

    I think they look good. Ihave offset modified Disco wheels on my RRC. I painted them black initially, then for a change painted them bright yellow . I like them...
