Thread: discovery 1 popping out of hi range

Gday my disco keeps popping out of hi range. It stays in low fine it's just hi range. Its a 5 spd. Any ideas why or how to fix it

Sorry if this is a dumb question but are you making sure it's fully engaged into High range?
After selecting High, it's best to make sure the lever is fully home after driving forwards a few metres. If you don't do this, it can quite easily pop out again. It might not pop out for a while, but it generally does it after a decent coasting spell (Mooney Mooney bridge on the F5 was renown for it).


If you are 100% sure it's fully engaged & still popping out, you might need to adjust the linkage.
