Thread: Expansion tank pressure

Hi all have noticed coolant coming out of my 1995 disco v8 expansion tank cap after reading more threads i had the head tested and it showed up fine with chemical test

I then changed the tank to the one of spaire v8 disco that hasnt leaked since i have owned it how ever this did not solve it note that the car isnt overheating its sitting firm at half way

Any ideas on what may cause this to happen

undo plastic bleed plug on top of radiator with engine running until air is expelled..u need to top up expansion tank and keep the coolant above the level of the top radiator hose..close off bleed plug whilst coolant is flowing out and no more air bubbles appear
