    Discovery 1 1994 3.9 New Injectors

    Hi Folks,

    I want to replace the injectors on my 1994 D1 3.9, no I have looked and looked and searched on here and have read many posts and I'm still unsure what to buy, most of the posts are old so the links are no longer valid or are broken

    There is a lot of discussion between

    Gen 2
    Gem 3
    Mustang
    Chev
    O rings
    Bosch

    I have found some links but unsure if they would be suitable, would someone in the know take a look and tell me which ones would be the best?

    The Mustang 19lb ones will do the job.
    They will fit exactly into the rail and be retained by the spring clips and the plug will fit.

    These are known a Bosch Gen1 and I have fitted them to a 3.9 with great results.
    If you fit Bosch gen11 yellow, then there is no groove for the spring clip and you have to put and extra O ring above the bottom oring to stop them popping out of the rail. Otherwise they are identical in performance to Gen1s.

    I have also fitted Gen11s and they also work well with the above caveat.
    I am not sure what they mean in the Mustang ad by race spec injectors. However the ad which states the application is for Ford 4.6 is the correct one.
