the white sockets are 32v (running 12) 15A polerised 2 pin plugs, same as the charge outlet on most generators.

the anderson plug is heavily fused and will deliver a peak of 200A for and cont 50A. the merit plug is direct on the outlet of the solar regulator so will always have power available and can be used to plug my charger in to charge the aux battery or deliver charge to a battery off the solar charger.

all other plugs are fused as pairs at 20amps

I need to install an Anderson plug in mine. What cable and fuse setup is advised and where is it best to run it? I have a dual battery system with redarc charge controller.

for some of his pre "I can tolerate everything else leaking but the brakes" failure misadventures just head to the advanced search, use fozzy as the key word and then my name as the user. If you find a thread with the words book and introduction in the title you'll have to spend a while reading that one to find the fozzy references but they're in there.

depends on what you want to do with it, and where you want to put it.

Mine runs through the firewall over the tunnel up behind the a pillar trim, along the roof (it was installed while the roof lining was out) down the back pillar to the fuse panel and the rear anderson plug. It runs as a paired cable from the front to the rear Its fused at the front and Its the only cable that carries electrical power from the second battery to the rearmost power distribution. (which is all thats up)

Additionally the CB and 2 narva locking cigarette sockets have a dedicated feed from the second battery and I have a yet to be installed bit of gubbinary that will let me switch all the existing accessory powered items in the car onto the aux battery. I had to remove the existing bit that allowed me the cig socket, radio and transfer pumps to run from the aux battery as I had a brain fart moment and killed the relay while trying add in an extra power feed.

I have a camper trailer with twin batteries I'd like to charge while driving, it has anderson already set up..

you'll probably want to run an in chassis route so you dont have to penetrate the body shell.

I'd use a 50a anderson plug and whatever the thickest wire is that fits the crimp pre crimping as a minimum, Id put 100 amp maxi fuses at each battery and probably something in the order of a 60 amp self resetting circuit breaker. Thats also assuming that the camper has some kind of aux charger (solar) in it so the batteries dont ever get completely discharged.
