    Lecturing a TDI D1.

    what you do is....

get a tdi D1 and over the span of about 18 months have your now ex wife trash 2 turbos, a couple of heads, the radiator, the clutch, a complete engine, a complete gearbox and tcase and propshafts.

while /before/as you fix all that you (and in no particular order)...

fit a suspension stuff 2 inch lift
    fit dual battery setup
fit a true track rear end
    swap the bull bar
    add a winch
    add 2x side tanks
add a table to the rear door
    add a solar panel
    add some custom electricals
    put some led lights in
    add an EMS
    boost gauge
    EGT
    3 inch exhaust
custom wheeled td04 coolant jacketed turbo charger
    awnings
    charge air-coolant intercooler
and then you give the boost compensator a bit of adjustery and the max fuel screw some windyinerry and then you fiddle the idle and max speed set screws to normal and then wind up the waste gate till its nice and tight then not bother to hook up the signal line and blank that off that fitting on the turbo.

the real trick to it is making it sound like its the kind of thing you do just to fill in 5-10 minutes while you wait for your kids in the school yard car park and yes, some of those mods were done in carparks in various places.

    lets try this....

if you dont want to disconnect the heater because the matrix leaks and refuse to check the coolant every 3 days as directed do you think you would cook the engine eventually?

once youve had that head replaced and had a low coolant alarm fitted but still refused to have the heater matrix fixed because of the time the car has to be off the road but have had a low coolant alarm fitted, what do you do when it starts to go off?

when youve trashed that head and turbo....

how long do you drive towin ~2t worth of trailer with the little red light that looks like alladins lamp on for before you ring up and ask if you can keep driving?

    no, thats the lecture..

the degree involves a lot more cash that I dont have, bigger intercooler, multiple radiators, bigger front radaitor, 2:1compound turbos with 2 small VNTs being force fed by a garret with a tip turbine fed off the waste gate and boost bleed to pull air through a secondary air:air intercooler, water injection on condtion and driver demand only, fuel heaters for WVO and onboard processing a bush ranger shell true track up the front and a torque biasing diff in the guts of the lt230
