Ok I'll rephrase it.
If you were going bush for 3 weeks with the intention of doing some medium tracks most days what spare parts would you think absolutely necessary?
I'm going into the High Country for 3 weeks this summer and plan to do some challenging tracks. What spare parts should I take? What are the parts most likely to fail? I have a full set of hoses and belts. Should I take a wheel bearing, CV?

It's all about knowing your vehicle. When I went solo to the high country for 4 weeks last xmas I just took belts and hoses, oil and coolant.
I did Blue rag, billy goat, and a few other good tracks the rest were pretty easy.
Make sure you grease everything and use your right foot with care.
Most people get over excited on big hills and go way too hard and that is what causes the breakages.
Good luck on your trip.

I have a serpentine drive belt somewhere lost in the back of the DIsco, but I think that's the only spare part for me! I do also carry most hand tools a tyre pump, fuses, globes, some wire and rescue tape. The simple things that are easy to carry and change.
I'm not sure the high country is THAT remote. Beyond the basics (similar to what I've mentioned) that are small and simple to throw in, there is far too much to carry IMO.
You can add other secondary items to the list that will help if you get stuck too - like a UHF radio. Cheap and portable insurance. Times I've been up there, I end up turning the radio off because there is so many people talking, so getting hold of someone isn't usually a problem.
Do you have much recovery gear? I would take piles of recovery gear before I'd be taking a spare CV.
Yeah that's good advice. I do have to weigh up parts vs camp necessities. I'm a planner and want the best chance to get my Disco out of need be. Yeah got all the gear, couple of snatch straps, drag chain, electric winch, tree trunk protectors and chain saw, UHF and a fair bit of common sense so well prepared. Cheers.
