    faulty immobilizer

    Hi, I have a 1998 300tdi , every so often the car will not start, no engine tuning over , just nothing ,after waiting up to an hour the thing starts, this has happened several times now , its something to do with the immobilizer , does anyone know where the module for the immobilizer is located and how to fix this problem , its possibly a dry joint . But I need to know where to look .

    No spider in a 98 D1, its integrated into the alarm module.

    I was hoping someone might answer this....not something I wish to struggle with while camped in the middle of nowhere. Can it be bypassed?

    Just above the passenger footwell near the kick panel, remove the cover below the glovebox and the kick panel for access.
