There is usually a paint code under the bonnet near the catch. From memory mine is 601 - Rioja red. Like this one - http://www.aronline.co.uk/blogs/cars...th-april-2008/
.
The paint is a problem on these models with the clear coat peeling off.

I know mine is aspen sliver i believe i want to repaint it one of the original colours i just want to know their original colours
my d1 has a colour called altai silver. forget the code. you just go to car paint shop and give them the code and they mix the paint for you. i did the roof on mine as the previous owner did a really bad job of it. looks much better. need to do bonnet as well but thinking of just doing that matt black or putting 3m vinyl on it.
silver paint (metallic) is pretty expensive. not as much as pearls but still dear. for the paint, thinners and clear coat cost me about $400-500 just for the roof.
as mentioned, it may be easier to put a cheaper colour/paint on. they look good in matte dark colours. if you drive offroad, not worth it. you will get pinstripes first day.
If you are going to paint any part of your Disco, you will find that it has a number of clear coats over the base colour paint.
You will have to remove the clear coats first if you wish to do a good job.
If you don't remove the layers of clear, esp. the parts that have started to lift/flake, the newly sprayed paint will flow under the edges of the clear coat and it will end up looking worse than if you done nothing, Regards Frank.
