    Also the ever trust the disco temp gauge, usually by the time they move off 1/2 way it's to late...you can get really good digital gauges under $12.00 very accurate and you can set perimeters in them that active buzzer, fans, what ever..

    Do a search for " 12V Aquarium Digital led Temperature Controller Temp w/ Sensor Thermostat Control ".
    With orange holding clips, don't be put off buy the discription,
    Tomtop.com had them the other day for $7.00 but I could only find the 240v ones when I just checked I have one one the motor and the other on the r380 cooler pipe for g/box temp

    Yep thats it, you can extend the sensor wire with twin flex speaker wire, and using 1/2" copper pipe make and eye connector, flatten one end and drill a hole to take your thermostat housing bolt, and split the rest of the tube to make a cylindrical crimp to take the sensor, and then good luck finding a switched live 12v to give it power..
