Checked all the globes, correct wattage all round. but it looks like a different rear bar has been fitted, I found 2 sets of globe wireing hanging from underneath, put a globe in and boom indicators are working fine. Question is can I terminate the wiring and still have enough watts going to the relay?

Sounds like the replacement rear bar is wired to the trailer socket? Use the wiring that you just put globes in instead. What wiring do you want to "terminate" and what do you mean by that?

looks like the trailer wiring is seperate from the rear bar wiring.
The rear bar doesn't have any lights in the bar, but light wiring is still there with the globe fitting (indicator and tail lights) hanging down. My question is as there isn't a globe in the socket, and no where to put the globe if I were to fit. can I cut the connected off and join the cables together?

So you want to short circuit the un-used globe holders? I don't think that is a good idea at all unless you have an endless supply of fuses you want to blow. The rear bar on all AU delivery D1s contains the main indicators, the pillar lights are only repeaters. Unless you have either 21W globes or suitable load resistors on the lower wiring you will get a fast flash rate. You might possibly be able to fit 21W globes to the pillar lights, no idea if they fit.

Yeah thats what i thought, i bought a couple of resistors from JayCar to try out, running 2 10w resistors in parallel. I disconnected the globe holder (well cut off) and attached the resistors. Same story still flashing too quickly. :censored:
Would that be the same as installing the LED load resistor from eBay?
The pillar lights currently have 21w globes fitted. All up i have 4x 21w and 2x 5w globes.
Not sure why my bar doesn't have the lights installed. It does have parking sensors though.
I noticed you could buy flasher units to suit LED globes. Though i could only find 3 pin flashers, there is a 4 pin installed in my disco. Would the 3 pin fit?

2x 10W resistors would be only be of use if you chose the correct resistance. They would have to be around 12 to 15 ohms to work as load resistors in your scenario.

Got around to fitting the resistors today, looks as though it has stopped the low voltage fast blinker. Very happy.
Hopefully where I have mounted them will be ok, time will tell.

Just a technical point:
2 resistors connected in parallel will have a total resistance of around half of either of them.
For 2 resistors ONLY, the formula is: Rt= R1 x R2 divided by R1 + R2
so: 10 x 10 = 100 and 10 + 10 = 20 so 100 over 20 = 5 ohms

I'm having a similar issue that had begun after months of use. It is also semi intermittent too. The bulbs are still fine as when I check them when they actually work they are fine. I'll double check the wattage of the bulbs and look at adding in some higher wattage ones and see if that helps.
