Possibly the top intercooler
Hose leaking blowby (oil) onto the fan belt.
Tighten the hose clamp and see what happens.
discovered a new oil leak on my discovery (now i know where they got the name from!) as the heading suggests the old disco is leaking oil onto the fan belt and seems to be splatting oil onto the underside of the top intercooler hose (im sure its throwing it elsewhere aswell) no leak from the viscous fan as it was replaced about 15k ago.
Are they common to leak from the front? cant see any info regarding this. timing Belt still has 40k till its due. No leaks down either side of the block either.
any thoughts appreciated
Thanks in advance

98% of all Land Rovers built are still on the road.
The other 2% made it home.
Cost difference between Britpart and Genuine seals: £2.04. Knowing that your brakes won't fail at any moment: Priceless.
Its not that unfortunately.

Ok another guess.
Powersteering pump is leaking
Or
The front crank seal has gone.
Oil from the crank seal should drain out thru the wading plug hole so it should not be able to reach the fan belt.
Although it could do so if you have left the wading plug in for extended periods of time.
Thats all i can think of.

I've had an A/C compressor leak oil out of the front seal... is it worse on the a/c belt?
