I took my rad out and soaked petrol in it for a few days , my dad also blocked off the fittings and drove around with it laying flat in his ute for a few days and I was surprised how much crap came it.

thats what my old radiator looked like before i did my head works. around town and mostly highway driving the temp was fine. on long hills in 5th gear it would quickly jump the needle up though.

since i did the head i havent had any cooling issues but i pretty much overhauled the whole cooling system, so hard to pin down on any one thing. probably a mix of everything.
