Understeer, yes, and changes in tracking, particularly at speed but not vague or sloppy steering. What are the front bushes like?
On the weekend i replaced front discs and pads, repacked bearings with new seals and lock washers and tensioned them up.
Brakes are much improved and got rid of a few creaks and groans but now noticed the steering seems vague, i looked under the rear and gave the chassis a shake to see how much free play there is in the rear .
I need to replace all the rear bushes and balljoint, would slack here be enough to give me steering issues up front ?, i seem to remember that a sloppy rear can lead to understeer ?

I have never tensioned Wheel bearings i have always done them by feel .
After a drive or a day or 2 recheck in actual fact when i used to have cars with real wheel bearings id constantly check the bearings for play
So could it be the bearings too tight![]()
