Rear left passenger door locking problem

So im sorting out some of my electrical gremlins at the moment and one of my most annoying ones is that my rear left hand passenger door sometimes unlocks and sometimes locks when i unlock the whole car, it's not something id normally worry about a whole lot however the disco sis at the train station and i feel it's inevitable that one day ill forget to check that that door is locked. The rest of the doors work perfectly with the enteral locking system its just hat one which plays up. Has anyone had/ fixed this problem before - 300tdi 1994. Thanks!

The most obvious thing to check up on is the central locking plunger.
Pretty easy to do on the D1, good access.
Check the wiring for any snags too.

My D1 didn't have a remote to activate the locks, so I got an aftermarket kit(from Supercheap, as I wanted it that day).
I had an aftermarket kit from about 20-ish years ago .. got for an old XF Falcon, was Dick Smith branded. It was never used, and stored(ie. lost) until a recent cleanup.
All the solenoids fit straight on, with no mods. That is, they look different and have different coloured wires, but they are a direct replacement for the larger looking Landrover solenoids.
The aftermarket solenoids have a lot more power in them too.

So, if it does turn out to be the solenoid acting up, it can be a cheap fix if you're willing to (easily)mod it a little

All these discos are giving me a heart attack!

Awesome guys, doesn't sound like to much money or time to fix. Thanks!

Check also if there is a wire running through a grommet from the body into the door. Sometimes they get pinched and can fail.
