Robbo, I did exactly what you did - King Springs and Bilstein dampers with airbags on the rears. I only inflate the helper bags when I am touring, and never more than 20psi. Anything more than that and the ride is too harsh.

ended up getting bearmach rubber bushes. cost me about $25 delivered. couldn't justify getting super pro etc. even though seems from the other thread that they are the goods. i've always wanted to upgrade suspension eventually to the king and billstein combo, so if i go that way i will invest on super pro bushes. for now the new rubbers will keep me going a while though.

Nothing wrong with rubber bushes in the shocks, thats all i have ever run, the rest of my cars bushes are superpro though.
Also nothing wrong with koni, i prefer them much more than bilstein, always found bilstein a bit harsh. Both equally as good as each other

realistically, how long would it take to replace the rubber bushes on shocks? i know from workshop manual looks easy and seems like everyone says it's an easy job but how likely is it that things are a bit seized or something needs replacing along the way? in theory could take out the rears and replace rubbers in about 45 minutes. fronts maybe 90-120 minutes in real life probably be more like 4 hours with a few trips to local parts shop.

i am going on camping fishing trip this weekend and wanted to do the rubbers as part of my service last weekend but ran out of time. could i realistically change them after work during the week or am i being optimistic? i would probably only get one night from the wife to do it and it would mean doing some of the work after dark with some fairly average lighting.

If i had the rubbers, it would take me about 30-40min to do the whole car i would say. I have eas front turrets though, normal turrets add 20min tops to that.
