    Question 9 SPLINE CHANGE TO 32 SPLINE AXLE'S ON DISCOVERY 1

    Can anybody tell me when the change from 9 spline axle's too 32 spline axle's on Disco 1.
    Don't worry about VIN numbers, just the year will do unless of course they changed mid year then i guess the month and year will do.

    10 spline to 24 spline happened when the update D1 was introduced. 94 IIRC.

    My Jan' 94 build D1a has them If it has the 'big' headlights it'll be 24 spline.

    As a general rule the 24 spline axles were introduced with the MY95 Disco 1. So is from the updates with a build date from about Jan 94. HOWEVER some of the late Disco 1 Interim did have them - not sure why as most were still 10 spline. These the Discos during the change over from the 3.5 to 3.9 V belt V8s - so built from around mid 93 to late 93. (94MY)

    You ready need to confirm individual items before procurement.
