Wandering steering after 2 inch Spring lift. Whats your thoughts guys?

Hi Guys. As soon as my son (Auto mechanic) fitted the 2 inch King suspension lift the 4wd became unstable at speeds above 80 kph. at that speed and above it can give a fright. It wanders left and right and worsens when I back off the accelerator or brake. When it drops back below 80kph it stabilises.
I had on standard 235x70x16 tyres. I figured it would come good when I put on the new tyres and wheel alignment 2 weeks later and so I didnt use the Land Rover until I got the new tyres.
I had the new tyres fitted (245x75x16) and had a wheel alignment done also. This was done by Tyrepower Albany WA.
I thought the alignment would fix the problem but nothing changed. It is still dangerous on the road.
So, I bought a new TerraFirma Steering damper (on advice) hoping that would fix the problem. But no different.
I would think you guys have come across this problem before. The facts are that the problem did not exist before the King Springs were installed, so I guess you guys may have the answer. Please let me know your thoughts as I need to use my Land Rover again with the extra clearance. Thank you and have a beaut day - Gerry Noterey
When you lift a disco you change the geometry.
There is a couple of ways of fixing this problem. Adjusting the kingpin angle which involves taking the swivels off and having them drilled worked for me.
There are more expensive ways of fixing the problem.

Lifting the front has reduced your castor to near zero.
Castor gives our steering self centreing, but most importantly it gives straight line stability (and negative camber on lock, but that's a side benefit)
Defenders run more castor stock than a Disco, so can tolerate a lift, to a point.
The best fix is to slot the swivel balls and wind some castor back in, the quickish and dirty fix is to use castor corrected bushes in the radius arms, but that reduces flex, or you can bend the radius arms, but that increases the chance of introducing a front drive shaft vibration as the angle of the front uni changes.

Exactly, it is the fault of the castor though! How dare it change when the suspension geometry has been changed....its not the fault of kings springs.....

SupporterProbably did but didn't know how to correct it .best shut up and take his money .
No easy adjustment though. To adjust it requires replacement items or machining generally. Way outside the paygrade of a tyre fitter.
