    200Tdi Defender engine into a Disco 1?

    Would there be any difference is getting a 200tdi out of a Defender and swapping the bits over and putting it in a 93 Disco 1 instead of rebuilding the original engine?

    If you have a complete D1 200tdi you can swap over all the d1 specific attachments.

    Once swapped in with all d1 attachments the only give away would be the engine number. 11L = defender , 12L/13L = discovery.

    Nice thing about the TDI's

    so long as you have both the donor and the recipient vehicle there as complete vehicles and they are both tdi's you can cross bolt to your hearts content and get a runner.
