    Retrofitting headlight washers.

My Disco 1, that I am purchasing, does not have headlight washers.
I can see blanks covering the holes, where they would be, if fitted, in the bumper.

Has anyone ever retrofitted these to their vehicle, and if so, do I need another tank, or is it a plug and play type of system?
I realise I will have to get hosing, but not sure what else might be required.

    Can anyone assist please?
    Cheers,
    Graeme.

get good quality high pressure hoses.
Check if your windscreen washer tank has the high pressure pump for the lights.

There's supposed to be some kind of restricting valve in the hose system too.
If not in place, it'll drain the tank, as the jets are naturally lower than the tank, loss of fluid due to gravity .. hence this valve.
I think in the Discos case the limiting valve is in the T piece that takes the reservoir hose and T's it off to each headlight.

    Hoses need clamping too.
There's a lot of pressure from the pump.
My only experience is with the D2. Mine has the system, but lots of parts missing. I inserted a bolt in the end of the hose, but no clamp, nice tight fit .. not losing water.
Testing all it's gear, lights, washers, indicators etc .. I tested headlight washers with lights on .. I hear the flying bolt bouncing all over the front end .. and get lost.

All these discos are giving me a heart attack!
