    Hi mate,

    Progress is looking great.

    Are you going to paint over the primer? Or put sound deadening in top of it? What's the plan there?

    Cheers,
    GG.

    Hi GG, just a protective top coat, an automotive black mat. Some left over Perentie paint.

    I’ll respray the underside with a deadener.

    Nice progress on the RRC.

    I might respray the side of the sill, if I need to spray some colour in the cargo area. I probably will.

    D1 restoration project

    Got a few things done today, but not a lot to see. But here’s a list:
    - bled the brakes after we previously fitted a new master cylinder;
    - fitted some new front indicators to spruce it up as reflector inside was starting to age, and they’re not expensive;
    - repaired the door seals on 3 doors, much cheaper than new door seals;
    - seal up where I welded in new sections on passenger side floor; and
    - started replacing the gear stick and handbrake boots.

    Definitely GG, it’s looking much better and basically roadworthy now except for the small section of rust in the cargo area.

    Finished off replacing gear stick and hand brake boots. And decided to give the carpets and seats a pressure clean while carpets were still loose and inner sills were off. Wow, so much dust and dirt came out. The interior looks heaps nicer now. It’s nice to be able to do this in a car that has so little electrics.

    Will post a pick of the clean interior when it’s dry.

    Something more substantial today, started on rust on the rear bumper and sill area. The final push to finish this project. Rear bumper off for a start.
