    Swapping locks and ignition?

Hey all, so i finally bit the bullet and got myself a 300tdi to replace my v8 disco. But the 300tdi had the ignition barrel changed so there are 2 sets of keys. Unfortunately the previous owner doesn't know why it was changed and didnt have the original ignition.
I'm wondering if I can swap all the locks and ignition from my v8 to the 300tdi so I only have 1 key? It would look like a big job but while i have a 'spare' disco I'd like to make the most of it.

So, assuming there is one key for the doors and another for the ignition?

It would be easier to remove the ignition barrel, take it to a competent locksmith and get it matched to the door key.

Just involves removing the sliding plates and reassemble in different order with some grinding etc.

Save heaps of time having to remove/replace all the door locks. That is of course, if the locksmith can do it.

I did this on an old Pajero once, he had to leave out 2 of the plates, but was an easy job.

Lots of threads here on fixing the sticking ignition key, they show the disassembled barrel and how it works,
you could even try it yourself.

Having 2 keys isn’t that bad is it
My old 110s have a key for the ignition a key for the front doors a key for the rear door a key for the bonnet a key for the cubby box
Oh yeah if I want to lock the fuel filler cap I’ll need a padlock and guess what
    ANOTHER KEY🤣🤣🤣🤣
