Thread: D1 rear disc 200tdi

Can anyone confirm that the disc’s and calipers on a 93 200tdi are the same as the post 94 300tdi.

Trying to gather parts for a rear disc conversion on my perentie and struggling to find somewhere that stocks everything.
I have a 93 d1 at my disposal so was hoping to grab what I could from that.

Had a quick look, the calipers appear to be different tho, but the info is all about internal workings, rather than about fitment.
Whether they physically fit is another question, but the older one on one side would be too different from the newer version on the other and they could perform differently.

I was looking into rebuilding my calipers('98 model) and IIRC the difference between new/old calipers was the size of the pistons or something.

I know they changed the booster for the 300tdi so I’m wondering if that has anything to do with the calipers.

Hopefully won’t bother me as I’ll be keeping the same booster I have.
