Suspension upgrade, wanting to keep donut

    Hi

I've been chatting to Les Richmond about new suspension for my D1 and they've made me up a quote. Just waiting on front Bilsteins to come back into stock. We're going with Red springs on the front (170lb 16"/405mm) and White on the back (275lb 17"/430mm). I asked for a very mild lift, less than or equal to 2". I'm planning on running 245/75s on it.

I want to keep the donut though. I like the feel of the drivetrain with it compared to my old Disco that didn't have one. Do you think I'll run into much trouble with the lift on the donut? LRA reckon I should just run it and it should be fine. I could always just go for more standard height springs though. I'm pretty happy with the offroad performance with the 25yo existing springs

I ran a 3" lift and the coupling lasted for years,I carried a spare but never used it.
