Try this link. It may help. My thought was stop solenoid. Can you stall it as a temporary measure or is it an auto?

Hey folks,
I have a fix-er-up 300TDi Disco whose engine continues to run even when the key is turned off. Even when disconnecting the power line from the fuel solenoid, it continues to run.
Are these solenoids known for sticking?
I have heard that an oil leak in the intake line (turbo etc) can cause the engine to keep running - but i presume it would sound rough etc? At the moment when it continues to run it is still purring like a kitten.
Anything besides the solenoid i should check?
Cheers!

Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from taking a nap.
Does the solenoid push or pull when given a live feed to allow fuel delivery?
Make sure it is not running on oil through the turbo! I.e. Diesel runaway.
