Help I have just dropped off a high kerb and struck my tow bar a solid jolt , I now have hazards stuck on and central locking won’t work I suspect the inertial switch but I can’t find it does anyone know where it is on a 98 D1 , or if I’m barking up the wrong tree???
Behind the washer bottle. push button on top to reset.
Where is the damn inertia switch???
I have also heard that it can be under the heater blower unit as well as in the kick panels. I went looking for mine (96 300tdi) and cannot find it. I have not yet looked under the blower unit. I know I have one as I have set it off. Mine cleared with turning off and on again though.

interesting, well, Bruce just lives 5 minutes from me. We did the button set, but it made no difference.
We then disconnected battery for 20 minutes, cycled button, no change, ignition switch off on for several cycles and it worked.
Now all working again. the mysteries of Land Rover.
I have two disco 1's both are behind washer bottle, so no idea where it could be on yours, hope you resolve it.
Ron.
As mentioned in other threads with the same issue, I have fixed the same issue by removing the L/h kick panel and trim under the glove box, remove the green electrical module, possibly a very simple computer who knows , I have never opened it up to see what exactly is in it, unplug it, cycle the ignition a couple of times , replace plug and off you go.
This will fix a locked out security / alarm system and also the locked on hazard lights

I'm fairly sure the non EDC tdi don't have any form of electronically controlling fuelling(other than the fuel solenoid, which is electric, not electronic) .. so no inertia switches to worry about.
Even with the EDC tdis, I can't see any inertia switch(in the electrical library) for the fuel pump either.
Arthur.
All these discos are giving me a heart attack!
