SupporterLost my DI. caught fire and burnt to the ground. The motor had about 1,200 km on it after a full rebuild and it was re-registered a little over a week ago. That's the end of my Land Rover experience. Will sell my parts car, many new parts and other bits such as a full length alloy expedition roof rack.

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Sorry to hear this.
I wonder what the prospects of salvaging or selling the engine are, or does the insurance company own it?

I'm so sorry to hear this. Gutting must be a complete understatement.
Where did that happen? Do you know why or where the fire started?
I hope you can see yourself into another Landy.
Cheers

That's terrifying and heart breaking. I hope physically anyone in it is ok.
Hope reason for fire is found as well

Super ModeratorWow. I routinely threaten my D3 with the roadside torch, but I'm not sure I'd really have the gumption to do it.
As others have said, just gutting.
