    R380 oil cooler adaptor.

In case you've wondered, Mike shows how they work.

Did any R380s get an oil cooler in Aus?

My Defender doesn't, the young blokes D1 doesn't.

Mine did. I’ve sold the adapter to a member. The cooler is still in situ. Did it come with it from new? Who knows? Car had a lot of work done on it by Fred Smith before it was sold to my son a decade ago, or longer. He possibly fitted it when he replaced the gearbox for the PO.

Just FYI. Son saw this. Decided "she'll be right till I get home". About 100 ks, highway.

Which resulted in this. R380s don't hold much oil...

Fred Smith was ****ed. The gearbox he fitted was allegedly new. This whole thing resulted in me importing an Ashcroft suffix L, after the secondhand one he got also failed. He lost patience with LRs and bought a HiLux, and I bought it from him. The oil cooler was deleted due to lack of trust ( not my call ), and the Ashcroft box is a beauty. Probably should get the thing going, but my projects have been overtaken by my health.
