Air Condtioner leaves water in passenger footwell

    Gday D1 owners
My new second hand D1 has a problem leaving water running down into passenger footwell from what I presume is airconditioner, after extended use in what is a tropical summer we are experiencing here.... What do I need to do to rectify the problem??
    Thanks

Under the trans tunnel, have alook up with a torch from underneath you will see two rubber drain pipes, one either side of the g'box. They protrude through the floor about 40mm. They get blocked easily, just pull the inner sleeve out, (you'll get wet no doubt) the one with the cone shaped end that slips inside the outer bit, and wash all the leaf litter and mud etc out of it. Sticking it back in is optional, I tend to think leaving them out in the tropics is a good thing due to the volume of water cascading out of the evaporator on any given day!!!

All that is visible on mine are just the dog pizzle cones. Are you saying that a tube can be further extracted out of that, Justin?

    That's how it reads.

I spent ages trying to sort this problem out but it turned out to be the windscreen seal on mine I think, the floor is still wet but seems to be drying.

It is hard with mine to sort it out as with the river crossings and mud holes and crappy door seals it is hard to get the carpet to dry.

It is all pretty much stuffed now so I might just pull it out and drive it like a Deefa for a while.

    G'day 4bee,

Yes, if you grab the cones and pull them while squeezing a little, they will come out and leave you A) covered in mud and water, or with a hole in the end of the short rubber tube coming through the floor. I leave the cones out on some as they continually block up over winter, come summer = wet floor
