Turn the steering wheel lock to lock a few times and your done![]()
Hi folks,
I am a little concerned about a 'cavitation' type sound/feel in my steering.
Recently replaced PAS pump.
Didn't bleed the system because my service manual, though usually very good, was pretty light on for detail in this area.
I now suspect I need to bleed the steering system.
Problem is, HOW?
Cheers

yeah, nah, yeah, I understand what rovercare was getting at.
My problem is mainly at those "lock to lock" situations.
Recently, the steering is 'cavitating' worse and becoming very difficult to use.
I think I might be past what rovercare is suggesting.
I do hope I am wrong though!
'cos all I can see is $$$!
Cheers

O.K.
So, why is there a very detailed description on DIY bleeding in my service manual (which, I confess, I don't understand?
Why doesn't the manual just say; "turn the steering lock to lock a few times after replacing PAS pump and you're done!"?
Cheers
