    Speedo intermittant problem

Here is a strange one: Running down the highway purring along, cast my eyes to the speedo and bugger me sideways it's reading zero, odeometer also stopped rotating. Watch the RPM to ensure bliky bill is not following me and all of a sudden back comes the speedo. Over the course of about 3 hours driving this happened twice. Must a connection somewhere I guess. Any views from the gurus???

The speedo transducer is on the transfer case, just in front of the handbrake drum.
Check the harness connection there first.

Just replaced my transducer. took about 45 minutes after a bit of swearing and a change of angle. (other side of the car). it's in a very tight spot between the transfer case and the handbrake drum. really need long needle nose pliers to help out and to jam the handbrake cable out of the way long enough to fit the transducer. Hooray I have a workig speedo now and don't have to rely on the tacho or GPS!!
