Is it possible to get a disco 95-97 without rust or is it just a given ?

My 94 model only has a bit of rust in the passenger front footwell floor. Well that's all I know about anyway. Rusted from the inside.
I've cleaned it up though so I guess that means it doesn't have any rust that I know about

Mine had a small spot of surface rust on the drivers side A-Pillar top, which I fixed today, and some more in both front footwells. I'm in the process of fixing the cause (heater matrix leak) and will treat the rust tomorrow.

What do people recommend as a good rust treatment?

the alpine windows and the roof rails are fairly common.
    LOOK UNDER THE REAR MAT.
If its a UK private import chances are the floor will be rusted out due to the salt used on roads.
Others have posted on rust behind the front gaurds.
If the roof isnt rusty, chances are its either been fixed(look for too shiny paint for age) or been garaged/from a dry area(one to look for)
The D2s dont suffer from Alpine window rust, the seal was changed to a type that doesnt hold water.

The only appearance of rust that we ever found on my 95 Disco was on the rear floor (inside) when the Mrs pulled up the mat one day.

This was paint surface rust only, and actually wiped off with a wet cloth.

Never had any other issues with it.
    Cheers .........

I brought my 95 Disco a few months ago and I can see no rust at all and I checked all the common area's you will find rust and there were none to be found so I brought it.
