Good stuff Andy. Did you do the diffs yourself? Pretty specialised work that.
Finished rebuilding my diffs with 4.11 ring and pinions at the weekend. Also fitted a rear Detroit locker and front Detroit Truetrac. Hopefully get out this weekend to try them off road, but on the road the 4.11,s have made a huge difference to the driveability. I am running 235/85 tyres and it really knocked the edge off my TDI during regular driving.

Yes, did them myself. Fairly straight forward, just had to wait a few days for the dealer to get some new shims for the pinion bearing. Ashcrofts are really helpful with setting the diff up.
Can I assume these were sourced from Ashcroft, and that you are in the UK?
Hi Andy;
I'm looking to do the same on my Disco, currently in the process of ordering the tyres 235/85R/16's, from your post it seems Ashcroft did the actual setting up of the diffs etc and you installed them on the vehicle?
The ring and pinions were manufactured by Ashcrofts in the UK, I bought them from Opposite Lock in Midland, Jezzaol on here. I had to fit them along with the detroit Lockers, also from Jeremy.
It drives fine, definitely notice the difference with the front pulling a little, but nothing wild. As for the tyres, if you are going with 235/85, I would definitely reccommend the 4.11,s. It drops the gearing back to where it is with stock tyres. Without the 4.44,s the gearing was too high, made it a pig to drive as the motor was always working harder to pull the big tyres.
My opinion anyway!
4.11, sorry!!
