Hi Guys;
talking to one of our club members tonite who owns a 2-door disco , he is running 255/85R/16 BFG MT's on his 2 door , he happened to mention Rangie spares in Melb and says he bought the Flare Kit from there , has anyone bought any Flare kits from Rangie spares for a D1 & do you know if there is a Flare kit that would suit all different size tyres , or are there different flare kits available depending what tyre size you want to run on a Rangie or disco? Is there such a thing as a 33" flare kit or a 35" Flare Kit.
thanks in advance.

Thanks Heaps Guys;
I'll call em in the morning.
I am also looking at buying the flare kit (for 33's) soonish, has anyone any experience in fitting these....are there any real problems with the kit or fitting them.
The front would be the easiest as they are a one pieceflare, but I am guessing that the back ones would be a bit harder given they are a 2 piece flare cause of the doors.
any advice appreciated![]()
Do a rear door first of all, it'll take you hoursthen everything else is easy.........always do the hardest job first
I've fitted heaps now, 1mm cutting discs are your friend, I bought a nibbler to do it years ago, but just use the grinder now![]()
Are these a square type flare with exposed fixing screws or a rounded type flare with concealed fix. As I am interested in a flare similar in style only to factory rubber but in glass/poly that have concealed fixings and cover a larger wheel and cut gards. Have seen them but do not know if they were custom made or available to purchase. Any help appreciated. My Disco 2dr series 1.![]()
I have a set of the glass fibre flares on my Disco 3 door. As easy as they are to fit I wish I'd have gone for the flexible ones now.
The fibre glass flares are very brittle and if you do any off roading against trees, branches etc I think they would crack quite easliy.
Just tighening the screws makes you sweat with the thought of doing them up too much!
The flexible arches in the UK are the same price as the fibre glass ones.
