    timing belt question

    was just looking through the sevice book on my d1 and i cant see when the timing belt was done (i had a full mlr service history up untill 160,000ks) and its currently up to 220,000k's just wondering when i should do the timing belt again

    If it was done at 160K and you are now at 220K then anytime between now and 240K, in other words every 60-80K is the recommended interval

    You drive a V8 , there is no timing belt .

    If it makes you feel better, the timing chain/cam/lifters will probably need replacing at approx. 200+ k.

    well i am up to about 227.0000 and i bought it at 215,000 so it should have been done shouldnt it, looking in the book its always been worked on by mlr and then after the second owner bought it he only used rangie automotive

    It wont be done under normal servicing, if there is a large service bill for over $1500 it may have been done but i doubt it - especially from MLR.
