Yep and where Mick cut his is unnecessary unless you plan on fitting a tube rear bar or you have already trashed the rear 1/4's. Thin cutting disc on an angle grinder is the best way and takes all of 2mins each side, just measure 2" back from bottom rear of guard and run a line of masking tape up till it meets where the rubber strip meets the arch and cut.
