I'm taking of the sump to improve the seal on the Tdi, whist it off, I'll have a look at the other bits

My list so far:
Remove main bearing cap and inspect bearings
Remove big end cap and inspect bearings

I was going to get a set of standard bearing, but since the sump has been taken off sometime in it's previous life, I'll wait until I know the size and whether I need to replace them. I'll do the big ends next weekend if they need it, unless the whole crank is gone, then it can wait for the complete overhaul that will happen one day - however with only 330,000km on it, it should be as good a new :-)
