    D1, niggly things

    ok nothing major But

    How do you ajust cluch travel? the cluch takes up way to far from the floor.

    How do you ajust the hand brake?

    any one know what the toe in should be?

    Dobinsons or Lovells shocks, mainly road work, and a bit of sand??

    how is the Dash instriment shell ( over the cluster ) attached, ?

    Dobinsons or Lovells shocks, mainly road work, and a bit of sand?? You've mention two brands, but in the nature of things, a third brand is probably going to be mentioned. But out of those two I'd buy the Lovells because of the more positive rep. they seem to have on here than the others, and they were on the rear of my last Disco.

    how is the Dash instriment shell ( over the cluster ) attached, ? upto LA, there are four screws holding the shroud on, the bottom two in the left and right corners underneath and the top two in the same location but above the gauges. MA onwards, if you drop the steering wheel adjustment to the lowest level, two screws become visible, remove these and then ease it off, two tabs hold the back in place.

    according to the workshop manual the toe out is 2mm.

    its those little niggly things which make our cars great, a clutch which bites too early and having to be built like ronnie coleman to put the handbrake on.

    true, just in my case, when my clutch bites my nee is in my ear, and i have no hand brake LOL

    to adjust the handbrake there is an ecentric adjuster on the hand brake drum backing plate release your hb and wind the adjuster clockwise a bit from memory
