    more clutch probs

    my clutch lost pressure today and left me not being able to get into gear and when i could it was crunching real bad,gunna take it to all rangies later in the week as i need some other things done,i just want to know if its hard to bleed the clutch to try and get some pedal back and is it hard to get to the clutch cylinder

    not hard but first you need to find out where all the fluid went and why....

    if youve blown out the slave cylinder or master cylinder all the bleeding in the world wont help you...

    the fluid is topped up and is not leaking out under the car so i thought to bleed it and see what happins

    I haven't looked at the one in my Disco, but on other cars sometimes leaking masters can leave you with a nice puddle if not decent wet spot under foot

    If the fluid level is OK and there are no slave cylinder leaks suspect a failed clutch throw arm, apparently a common problem. My 93 TDI disco clutch throw arm failed at around 200000Km. Signs of failure were - pedal went all the way to the floor ,released pedal, then it went solid. Luckily it was in second and I managed to drive about 1km and into the the local L/R stealer's workshop.
