Reversed (or Offset) Disco 1 Rims:

1. How do they affect the Disco's geometry? Wider wheelbase = more stable ride, but what else (turning circle etc)

3. Is there a much of a selection in how much the offset can be adjusted or is it just a matter of normal or reversed?
4. Anybody have some recent pricing on having some rims reversed?

1. & 2. Dont know but would,nt think there would be any problems they are my off road wheels and only get fitted when its time to play

3. my offset is 80mm the offset can be different as they are a weld in centre
4. Had my wheels done earlier this year $45 each

Dynamic rims do offset rims for the disco 1.

They are -25mm offset so gives 50mm wider wheel base plus another 25mm as the rims are 8" wide not 7" like standard rims. Plus side is that you can fit wider tyres on the 8" than the standards.

I think they were $90 each for 15" rims.

I found no need to adjust my steering stops for turning my circle as the offset rims actually give better clearance for turning.
So if you ran the same width tyres you could infact get a tighter turning circle, but if you run wider tyres it all works out the same as standard if that makes sense?

sommerfield engineering here in perth will widen or adjust offset on steel wheel for $40 a rim.

Reverse centre Disco rims go well on a forward control.

Does anyone know who might do them around my area (coffs harbour)??

Thats cheap I got quoted 180 per wheel from alliance rim repairs here in Perth for new chrome "belts" the rim bit for a set of dragways for my old skool celica.
way out of my price range.
Cosidering they just bolt the centre in and away you go. I wonder if they do chrome rims?
