Nothing needs to be cut on the outside of the quarter. The cuts that are made cannot be seen unless you now what the rear folds looked like originaly. Pretty much its exectly like a few members on here stated.
Perfect size tyres for a disco i might add.
I too have just fitted 245/75R16 tyres to the alloys, with exactly the same outcome.

On the road no trimming needed, but offroad the trim of the rear arch lower tab bit needed if taking to full flex.

Same opinion, these tyres look much better on the car, the standard 235/70R16 just looked too small. BTW I do have a 2" lift as well.
I've got 245/75 M/T's going on either Monday or Tuesday. I'll flex it up on my ramps when I get it home to work out how much to fold/cut on the rear.

Can anyone explain how to adjust the stops do they don't rub the steering arms please?
Look on the front of the front diff, you'll find a large hex head bolt on each side that when your at full lock limits how far the wheel can be turned. Screw those out and put a single flat washer behind it. That should be enough for clearance. I only needed 1 washer on each side running 265/75/16's on a D2.
