Really wouldn't be that hard Peter, LHS turbo manifold with a cross over pipe, that's how my mate Dave from ASE Turbo kits, intercoolers and performance products. makes the LS1 turbo kits and they're making huge power. Plus I wouldn't go too bit with the exhaust housing. If anything though I do know where there's a few TDO4s off WRXs lying around, so that could be an option for twins.

Stuee, funny you mentioned that, but after I finish my ute I'm keeping away from BAs engines for a while, this one is gonna be several house deposits worth (yet the goal is for 800-1000rwhp). One option I would go for though is an LS1. Has been done in a Disco in SA. Very versatile engine, still alloy and can produce 500hp (if you wanted it) properly with cam and heads.

Haha. I've seriously just got back from the shops where I brought a book on rebuilding LS series motors (How to Rebuild GM LS-Series Engines). I've been toying with the idea for a while, and now uni has finished I will have a bit of time and money to play with.

Plan would be to buy a wrecked auto commodore, rebuild and stroke the motor to 402CI (approx 6.6L) and have the tranny rebuilt by a specialist. Would like to do the motor myself though as I've always wanted to build a motor. Obviously get machine work done elswhere but I'd love to asssemble it myself. Oh yeah and it would all go in the disco

    Boxer are you on xr6turbo.com?

    Process west plenum...................noice

I reckon the GT35/40 combo from a ba/bf xr6t would rock on 3.9 ltr disco
