No trouble from the cops at all . The only time the cops have looked at me is for the winch bar that looks pretty aggressive:D . Not sure how you would go with the roadworthy side of it in NSW .But as long as it is under the legal Db level you should be right .
What sort of sound level do you get from the exhaust in general travel?
Not sure what it sounds like from the outside (i'm the driver :p). But is a little droany inside the cab . The disco seems to be loudest at around the 2000prm and then fades out a little after that .
I dont think ill ever hear it from the outside either as that would involve handing the keys to someone else ...
Well i guess i could just get it done if i have any troubles i can always get it fixed back up :(
Just thought id jump start this thread again, as I'm still on the fence. I really want to do the exhaust by simply cutting out the middle muffler and replacing with a straight pipe, the second muffler has already fallen off so it would have both silencers removed!
But i dont want it too be too loud, could some of you guys who have done this give me a clue on if ill have trouble with the cops or pink slip? or a comparison to how loud it is :)
Hope to hear from you guys! as i want to do it this wednesday if i decide to go through with it. And hope to have all changes done by next monday with some pictures :D
Just put a hotdog muffler in place of the main muffler;)
Get the guy in the exhaust shop to show you a hotdog muffler and you will understand its short in length but enough to make your car sound a little better and not so loud:D
hey guyz,
i was actually going to do that to my rangie p38 in a couple of days.
just wasnt sure on the note i'd get?????
