    Exhaust system fun

Being a typical teenager i want my 300Tdi to sound a little meaner then it does from standard...Iv already had the muffler fall off!

But that hasn't changed the sound in the slightest, iv thought of cutting out the first muffler up front, but im not sure how this would effect the performance or sound...anybody got any clue as to how it would end up sounding?

Iv also seen "Cherry Bomb" exhausts but dont have the money!

You can make your exhaust a straight through pipe and you'll not attract much attention at all. The whistle from the turbo becomes much more noticable from behind the vehicle, and it is a bit louder, but inside the cabin you can hardly tell.

The turbo does a good job of muffling the sound. My 130 has had the centre muffler removed and it's about 10% louder than stock. Turbos spins up marginally quicker with the straight through system, but you're not going to turn it into a tyre-burner just by doing that.

Is that just by simply removing the muffler and replacing it with some pipe? no hotdog or any of that?

Yep, you got it - I just got some pipe bent up at the local muffler shop with flanges in the same place as the OEM exhaust section, and bolted it straight in. Total cost was about $80.
