Me too, when i see the words "home made snorkle ", i usually cringe but this does look good.

Very nice Mick, will it be ready for Xmas ??
Really nice job Mick. That is the best looking snorkel I've ever seen - and it looks to be bl**dy strong too.
I'll be very keen to hear how you get it to mate up with the airbox and seal properly. Wanting to do something similar on my P38A Rangie in the near future.
Guys,
I built mine a few weeks ago...
Thought i'd chuck some photos up as it's a bit different, give someone else some ideas.
It's 4" to start with, i modded all the intake piping and also the inlet on the airbox to be 4" too. It took a bit of work, including moving the gas system but it has worked out fairly well.
The snorkle doesn't sit it parallel with the screen, as when parallel, the top rubber bend pushes that tube outside the line of the body, where it is more likely to get smashed....(like the last one on my ute which was re-made 3 times)
Having it the way it is allows the top section to angle in over the top corner of the windscreen, as far out of harms way as practical whilst not incringing on vision.
We did make sure that it was as parallel with the top of the guard, as if it is not, they look wrong IMO.

Very nice!!
Hey mate any chance of some more pics of your disco looks great!
You Disco blokes with your conventional bonnets have it too easy :p but jeez you've made some great looking snorkels.
Try doing that with the clamshell bonnet of a P38A taking up half the side guard where the pipe should run. :o
You've certainly given me some inspiration though, thanks.
