well hopefully mine will be getting fitted Monday.....got to pay the deposit tomorrow.
5 tyres 5 pro comp wheels and I'm looking at a smidge under 2g's and thats becasue I added a wheel alignment as well.....So all in all i'm happy as I was originally looking at just over $460 a corner thats with out wheel allignment.
So keep fingers crossed they ordered the right wheels :(......I cant say I trust the guys that much!
My 245/75R16's on the D1 are going brilliantly after lots of use in all conditions over the last 8 months. On hotmix they are a little noisy, but hey, they are M/T's :D On all other normal road surfaces they are only slightly louder than the Bridgestone A/T's I had on before them. In mud they are awesome! They hold on really well and the side biters do a good job of hauling my sorry ass out of some great bogholes
Tulip has 255/85R16's on her Deefer and so far hasn't really tested them out off road. Although last night I managed to get myself down into a fairly steep gully in the pouring rain and pitch black (I was chasing a fox and lost track of how far I'd gone down the hill  ). Anyways I put it into difflock and pointed it up a very steep grassy slope. A little use of some throttle later :burnrubber: and I was out. I'm pretty bloody impressed with those tyres to say the least.
Tyre wear seems pretty reasonable for muddies. I reckon I'll get 60,000 out of mine, and I am far from gentle on tyres
I was quoted by 2 Bob Jane stores yesterday, at $250 and $270 a corner fitted and balanced.......however, and I quote because no stores in Victoria stock these tyres there will ba a $25 per tyre freight charge to get them from Brissy. Now Im up around the $300 dollar mark. And I wanted five of them. One would asume that Port Maq is alot closer to Brissy than Melb, so I think someone is having a lend of you bud..
Most of those smaller towns charge more, I lived in Port Macquarie for a short time years ago and everything was overpriced so the price you were quoted doesn't surprise me.
Good luck with it, hope you get a better deal than that.

I was quoted $330 at one BJ store in Melbourne and initially $270 in Geelong. After a bit of hassling they came down to $250 in Geelong.
When I went to order them I got the same thing - none in Victoria, have to be freighted down from Sydney at $20 per tyre.
After hassling them for a couple of weeks I was finally told the freight company misplaced the first set that was sent. As I was desperate to get them fitted before we headed off to Tassie they sent another set down and in lieu of the stuff-around I didn't have to pay the freight.
That was almost 3 weeks ago now. Might be worthwhile giving the Geelong store a call in case the first lot eventually turned up there. It could be that they've actually got them even though they aren't visible to other stores.
Steve
might try TTF, they seem to get their hands on all sorts of stuff. (total tyre factory).
Yeah I know I told him that at that price I'm better off driving to Newy and back!!
I found another place slightly better.... lol $310!!
Even when I told him I would buy 5 he didn't change the price..... thats pretty scummy I reckon!
Cheers,
