Hmmm, welcome to my world. The house I'm building is with a 2400mm opening panel lift. So the Disco with tyres, lift and rack will still fit.
I'm not sure what the D1 is, though the D2 is about 1940mm despite the published heights from LR.
Hey people, having just purchased a 1995 Disco ES (See the Cr*p, what have I done thread), I'm wondering (in advance of actually picking it up) whether or not it will fit - height wise - into our garage. It should, but I'd like to check in advance.
Does anyone know off hand (or is prepared to measure) the height, at the highest point, of a stock standard V8 ES. (Standard rim/tyre sizes, no lift kits etc)?
Thanks in advance.
Michael

The standard clearance heights for a D1 are
1928 mm (without roof bars)
1968mm (with roof bars)
and 2005 mm (with sunroof open?)
at least according to whats on my sun visor
It's probablt worth putting a tape on it. My visor measurements are out, which I think is because the measurements given are assuming the suspension is set at the upper limit of the tolerances given, where if anything like the D2 they are sent almost universally at the bottom end of the tolerance. Then add sag from being weighed down and abused for the last 13-14 years.
