Thread: 95 D1 rear springs

You could try a spring spacer, or order a custom set of springs with extra length in the sagging side.
Oh, meant to ask what brand spring are you using. My rear has just gone like that but have been using springs for about 3 years and 60k road and offroad kms. Shouldn't happen after a few trips, sounds like poor quality springs.

Fit Polyair's Mate. cost $345ish and 1 - 2 hours to fit. You won't have a sag problem again.

What springs are you using? Changing poor quality springs for another set of poor quality ones under warranty won't fix the problem (as you've found out)

I've had Dobinson springs on the back end for the past four years and they don't show any signs of sagging....& I carry alot of weight too!

The use of Air Bags will help resolve the problem but fitting good springs in the first place means that you don't nessesarily have to fork out $345 for them!
Air Bags may increase your rear load carrying capacity....but they shouldn't be fitted to cure poor quality springs IMHO.

I think the airbags will jsut be a mask. It sounds like the springs are the problem.

Are the springs sided? ie the drivers side springs are taller? LandRovers seem to have a rea problem with the drivers side being lower than the passengers side. The drivetrain seems to be heavier on that side.

STD rate spring, very comfy on-off road.
Put air in my Poly bags, for use with trailer, or heavy load in the rear.
Dose't over load springs, 5 years now.

Better the driving around in a tank wtih HD springs.
