I reckon it would look abit silly without them
But i don't think there worth having for protecting anything![]()
I do agree with you how they collect dirt, crap and water though
CHEERS TIM.
Just curious what the advantages and disadvantages would be of removing the plastic sills for the time being until i get some bar work?
They don't appear to be very strong so i cant imagine they do much protecting? but does it look untidy with them removed?
From what i can see all they are doing at the moment is providing a step which isn't needed, aesthetics and perhaps holding water behind then and dirt when you open the doors there is ofter dirt sitting on them.
So would i be best removing them or keeping them on?

They just dress the sill so it looks good. They're only made of fibre and dont offer protection, nor were they ever designed to do so. I think Disco's look silly without them.

Yep, I'll agree ..
I drove around for a while without, and things look a bit unfinished and untidy.
Wait till you see whats behind there ! ! ! ! (If it's anything like mine)
It just took me a while to tidy up the rust I found ... lucky I found it before it got any worse. Clean up, red oxide primer and satin black spray.
I like them much more now
